MAYFAIR LADY .. QUEEN emerges as KING of the MONOPOLY castle!
The Queen today (Friday 5th October 2018) emerges as the King of the MONOPOLY castle – on a brand new official Royal Windsor MONOPOLY board.
Her Majesty’s Windsor Castle has been revealed as ‘The Mayfair of Royal Windsor’ .. on the day the morning hit shop shelves.
The board was officially being unveiled at a breakfast launch ceremony at Oakley Court, which rolled out a red carpet especially for the occasion.
Completing the top set is St. George’s Chapel – host to two Royal Weddings this year – which replaces Park Lane from the original London classic MONOPOLY game. It joins Windsor Castle in the highest ranking set.
In all more than 30 Royal Windsor favourites and landmarks, including three local charities, ‘Pass GO’ on the new MONOPOLY: Royal Windsor Edition board.

Other features of the game see:
- The four train stations from the original taking on a ‘travel’ theme.
- Very many of the Chance and Community Chest cards themed around Royal Windsor, with the highlight seeing one card sending players ‘Back three Spaces’ for getting stuck in traffic during the Changing of the Guard.
- Another card - in true MONOPOLY entrepreneurship - rewards players for letting out their property ‘for a Royal Wedding’.
The board went on sale this morning at all major stores, including Daniel Department Store, Ryman, Waitrose, Waterstones, The Works and WH Smith - as well as very extensively online, including Amazon.
