We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to attend this weekend’s racing.
With rail strikes due to be taking place on Saturday, we wanted to outline the transport options in place alongside additional measures to help you get here for our Abba Party fixture on Saturday 26th August.
Trains, tubes & buses
Currently, trains are scheduled to be running every 30 minutes from London Paddington to Windsor & Eton Riverside via Slough from the hours of 7am-7pm, however we advise that you check online before travelling.
Alternatively, you can catch a tube from London to Heathrow T5 (Elizabeth line, Heathrow Express and Piccadilly line) and catch a Go2Gate minibus which serve Vale Road, just opposite the entrance gate to the racecourse. Download the Go2Gate App to book your ride. Select “Vale Road 154 Southbound” as your destination. More details at www.heathrow.com/go2gate
Plan ahead
We’d recommend you leave extra time to travel to the racecourse. On Saturday 26 August, gates open two hours before the first race at 5.15pm and there’ll be plenty of bars and eateries open from gates open. The last race takes place at 7:50pm. The event will end after the Bjorn Again performance which will begin shortly after the last race.
Plenty of space for parking at the racecourse
If you are driving to the racecourse, please be assured we have plenty of free parking available.
Overnight parking
Cars can be left overnight and collected the following day from the racecourse. Please let the Stewards know when parking that you are leaving your car overnight.
Local bus information
The No 8 bus runs from outside Windsor Boys School to Slough, once every 15 minutes stopping on Arthur Road outside the racecourse entrance.
Arriving by boat
There will be additional boat services running from the centre of Windsor. French Brothers run the boat connections to the course from Windsor Promenade. You can book in advance and see the timetable here: https://www.frenchbrothers.co.uk/
Book your taxi in advance
We do strongly advise you to pre-book your taxis for the end of the evening. There is a variety of reliable taxi services we can recommend:
Taxi pick up point at the racecourse
The prebooked taxi pick up point and drop off location is at the main entrance to the racecourse on the balloon meadow.
Non-prebooked licensed taxis from the Royal Borough will be found at the same location.
Thank you to all our customers for their support and we are looking forward to welcoming all our customers for a great evening of racing and entertainment.
