Fireworks - Visitor Information
The Night of Colours Fireworks Night at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Saturday 4th November is fast approaching, with tickets still available to purchase here. Below is some useful information to help you prepare ahead of the event.
EVENT TIMINGS:
Gates open at 5.00pm
The funfair will be open from 5.00pm – 9.00pm
The fireworks display will start at 7.45pm
Food and drink outlets will remain open until 9:00pm
The event finishes at 9.00pm
TRAVEL:
This will be an extremely busy event so please allow extra time to travel to and from the racecourse. Due to limited parking on soft grass standing, we advise people to car share where possible, make use of public transport and taxis, or walk if you can.
The racecourse is easily accessed by road and rail. There is more detailed travel information here but please check local timetables and taxi services before departing.
Unfortunately due to the severe weather and river conditions, French Brothers are unable to operate the river boat service for the Fireworks Night. All bookers of the river boat service and packages will receive a £7 refund per person within 28 days to their original payment card. Please find alternative travel arrangements for this event. PARKING:
Please note that the majority of parking at the racecourse is on grass, and due to a significant amount of rainfall recently and with further forecast ahead of the event, a large proportion of parking will not be in use due to soft ground.
Alternative parking on hard standing can be found at Centrica, just a short walk from the racecourse, alongside the on-site horse box car park. Please note that parking on hard standing is extremely limited and will be provided on a first come first served basis, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment and any queues. Please inform the stewards on arrival if you require accessible car parking.
ENTERTAINMENT:
Head over to the fun fair for some thrilling rides suitable for all ages, which will operate on a pay-as-you-go basis, taking both cash and card payments. Please note that there are no cash machines on site. We have a variety of roaming entertainment on-site throughout the evening, some of which may use flashing/strobe lighting.
WEATHER:
Please check the local forecast before departing and dress accordingly. We are expecting a considerable amount of rain so we advise you to wrap up warm, wear appropriate footwear and bring waterproofs as this is an outdoor event with limited indoor space.
FOOD & DRINK:
A range of bars and food outlets are available serving tasty bonfire night snacks and drinks. A range of vegetarian and vegan food options will be available across the racecourse. Please be aware that no food, drink or picnics can be brought into the racecourse except in the case of a severe food allergy, in which we ask you to contact us directly to arrange bringing in your own food.
SECURITY:
We take security and safety very seriously. There will be a strong security presence and you will be subject to a bag search on arrival.
We ask all visitors not to leave bags unattended and to report anything suspicious to a member of staff.

Payment
Please remember, the majority of food outlets and bars are card only but we advise you to also bring cash for the funfair rides. There are no cash machines on site so please bear this in mind.
Dogs
With the exception of Assistance Dogs, dogs are not permitted to enter the racecourse. In the interests of animal welfare, no dogs are permitted to be left in cars and we politely request that all dogs are left at home.
Concessions
At this event, no student, OAP or other concessions will be available.
Sparklers
For health and safety reasons, no sparklers or other lit fireworks can be brought into the racecourse.
