Make the most of the Early May Bank Holiday 2026 with a day at the races! Our trackside action is the perfect way to enjoy the long weekend, with thrilling races, fresh air, and a lively atmosphere for all ages. If you’re searching for Early May Bank Holiday events in and around Windsor, horse racing offers the ideal mix of excitement and entertainment — a great day out with friends, family, or colleagues.
Plus, the best part? Kids aged 17 and under go free to the races and there is free entertainment all day long! Our Family Fun Raceday promises to be an action-packed day out for the family with plenty of activities off the track. We are still finalising the entertainment and theme for 2026, but in previous years this has included Circus entertainment and roaming superheroes to funfairs and inflatable obstacle courses. What does that mean? On this Bank Holiday Family Fun Day, if it rains during the period from when gates open to the end of the last race, you will be invited back to an alternative raceday at Windsor for FREE – to enjoy the best of British racing under, hopefully, sunnier skies!

Looking for fun things to do with the family? Get our family fun day in the calendar now. Kids go free, and you can get the best price on adult tickets by booking in advance. Grab general admission online, or if you’re looking to upgrade packages, you can go through our hospitality provider Seat Unique. Otherwise, our friendly team is always on hand to help if you would like to speak to someone before booking.
Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.

Boats depart Windsor Promenade (opposite Brown’s restaurant) every 10–15 minutes starting 2 hours before the first race, with return journeys running from the penultimate race until 45 minutes after the last.
Celebrate in style by crafting an exclusive message for the racecard! Your personalised greeting for any special occassion will be featured in the racecard and announced during the event for all to see and hear!
Your personalised message (up to 20 words) should be submitted at least seven days before the event, by responding to your confirmation email or sending it to info@windsor-racecourse.co.uk. There are a limited number of allocated spaces within the racecard, so be quick to secure yours!
